Both George and Mo have impressive careers. They travelled all over the world working in high end hotels and restaurants. They met at 3-star restaurant Geranium (Copenhagen) and dove together in VanderVeen - an Amsterdam-based restaurant.

At VanderVeen, together they shook up the world of hospitality: fine dining became rock ’n roll. Refined, but rebellious dishes with daring pairings. Within 1,5 years they received the Michelin star (2023).

Together with Eva and Steven who own restaurant Alba at the Wibautstraat they have launched CUE.

At CUE, we curate the perfect harmony of food, drinks, and music across two floors. Step into our world, chef George Kataras leads the kitchen with a bold, fire-driven approach to cooking. George invites guests to experience a culinary journey that draws inspiration from the primal allure of open fire.

On the floor, you’ll meet Mohamed Aous, our sommelier, who brings his expertise from some of the world’s most renowned spots. At CUE, he focuses on New World wines think Australia,South Africa, the U.S., and beyond. But it doesn’t stop there.

We’re equally passionate about spirits, sake, and cider, offering a range of pairings that reflect a commitment to craftsmanship. Whether it’s natural, low-intervention wines or timeless classics, we’ve curated a selection that’s as thoughtful as it is extensive. And for those who prefer a more relaxed experience, our non-alcoholic options are as meticulously crafted as the rest.

Now for those looking to extend the evening, head downstairs to our basement and immerse yourself in a space inspired by Japanese listening bars of the 1950’s, but with our own unique twist.

We’re spinning everything from Disco to Jazz to R&B, all played on a custom-built sound system exclusively on vinyl. Pure, unfiltered craftsmanship.

Our cocktail menu takes the classics and flips them on their head, using innovative techniques and the best ingredients. We just scored the title of Best New International Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, showing we’re all about breaking the mold.

And if you’re feeling snacky late-night, our Japanese inspired bar food hits the spot, available until midnight.
